Ingredients

  • 4 cups (960 milliliters) fruity red wine
  • 1 cup (240 milliliters) honey
  • 2 cinnamon sticks

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a heavy-bottomed saucepan over high heat. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until wine has become a thick syrup and has reduced to about a quarter of its original amount. Remove from heat and let cool, then use, or transfer to fridge and store for ready use.
