Ingredients

  • 1 225 gram package Jalapeno cream cheese
  • 1 package Boursin cheese (garlic and fine herbs)
  • 1 cup parsley, finely chopped (half in the mixture and the other half to roll with)
  • 1/2 cup chives, finely chopped (half in the mixture and the other half to roll with)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup roasted red peppers, finely chopped (store bought in a jar)
  • 1/2 cup crispy fried onions (store bought)
  • 3/4 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup roasted pistachios

Directions

  1. Allow the cream cheese and Boursin cheese to come to room temperature.
  2. In a medium size bowl, mix together the cream cheese, Boursin cheese, parsley, chives, garlic powder, roasted red peppers and crispy fried onions. Shape the mixture into a ball, refrigerate for 30-45 minutes or until the ball can be handled without falling apart.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the parsley, chives, cranberries and pistachios. Roll the cheese ball in this mixture making sure that there is no cheese exposed. Refrigerate covered until ready to serve.
  4. Before serving, I like to add a bow on the top to really make it look like an ornament!
  5. These are a great make-ahead that you can freeze as well. Serve up with any crackers, breads that you may have on hand.
