Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups (360 milliliters) thick full-fat yogurt
  • 2 garlic cloves, grated
  • 1/4 cup (60 milliliters) finely diced red onion
  • 1/4 cup (60 milliliters) chopped dill
  • Juice and zest of half a lemon
  • 1 teaspoon (5 milliliters) ground black pepper
  • 1 medium cucumber
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 milliliters) salt

Directions

  1. Combine yogurt, garlic, red onion, dill, lemon juice and zest, and pepper in a bowl and set aside.
  2. Grate medium cucumber into a bowl and sprinkle with salt. Massage grated cucumber and squeeze into a small ball, draining as much fluid as possible.
  3. Stir drained cucumber into yogurt mixture and chill until ready to serve.
