Strawberry sundae

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (240 milliliters) strawberries, quartered
  • 1/2 cup (120 milliliters) sugar
  • 1 tablespoon (15 milliliters) water
  • 12 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 1/2 cup (120 milliliters) chocolate topping
  • 1/4 cup (60 milliliters) chopped peanuts
  • 1 tablespoon (15 milliliters) sprinkles

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine strawberries, sugar, and water.  Let sit until strawberries have released a sauce-like liquid, about ten minutes.
  2. Into each of four sundae bowls, scoop three scoops of ice cream.
  3. Top with strawberries (including liquid), chocolate sauce, peanuts, and sprinkles.
