Strawberry shortcake kebobs

Ingredients

  • ½ angel food cake
  • 12 strawberries, hulled
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup plain greek yogurt
  • 4 wooden skewers

Directions

  1. Cut Angel Food Cake into one inch chunks.
  2. Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes.
  3. Alternately thread pieces of angel food cake and strawberries onto the skewers; set aside.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the honey, cinnamon and one tablespoon (15 milliliters) water. Warm on stove top or in microwave for 30 seconds. Stir again. Brush mixture over kabobs. Place on barbecue preheated to medium, grill until cake is golden brown, one to two minutes per side, and strawberries are slightly softened.
  5. Serve skewers with yogurt for dipping.
