Strawberry frozen margarita

Celebrate sun, decks and everything summer with this bright red, icy margarita perfect for any fiesta.  It’s perfect paired with my taco spread.

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup ice (175 milliliters)
  • Juice of ½ lime
  • 1/3 cup hulled strawberries (80 milliliters)
  • 1 teaspoon honey (5 milliliters) or 2 teaspoons simple syrup (5 milliliters)
  • 1 ounces tequila (25 milliliters)
  • ½ ounces triple sec liqueur (15 milliliters)
  • Lime wedges, strawberries and kosher salt for garnish

Directions

  1. Pulse ice cubes in blender until crushed . Add fresh lime juice, strawberries and honey and blend until crushed.  Add the tequila and triple sec and  blend on high until slushy.
  2. Run a lime wedge along glass edge and dip in salt, if desired.
  3. Immediately pour in frozen margarita and garnish with lime wedge and strawberries.
