Revved Hawaiian Pizza

After tasting this, nobody is going to be arguing that fruit doesn't belong on pizza.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons of tomato sauce
  • 1 sprouted whole-grain pita
  • 1/3 teaspoon dried basil
  • 5 baby spinach leaves, torn into bite-size pieces
  • 2 ounces turkey luncheon meat or lean ham
  • 1/4 cup sliced pineapple chunks
  • 3 tablespoons shredded Parmesan cheese
  • Dash of oregano
  • 2 fresh basil leaves, chopped (optional)

Directions

  1. Spread the tomato sauce over the pita.
  2. Sprinkle the dried basil over the sauce.
  3. Top the sauce with the spinach, slied turkey, and sliced pineapple chunks.
  4. Sprinkle the pizza with the Parmesan cheese and dash of oregano.
  5. Cook the pizza in a toaster oven or under the broiler until the cheese melts.
  6. Top it with the optional fresh basil.
