Spread bread evenly with butter on both sides, making sure not to bread in half so sauce won’t leak out.
To assemble sandwich, arrange the meat in each sandwich, drizzling with some of the sauce. Top with shredded lettuce, carrots and cucumbers. Drizzle with chili sauce and garnish with fresh parsley or coriander and gerkins.
