Pork fried rice

Ingredients

  • 454 grams ground pork
  • 1 teaspoon chili flake
  • 1 teaspoon 5-spice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas
  • 3 cups cooked, day old rice
  • 1 carrot, grated
  • 1 broccoli head, sliced into florets
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 bunch scallion, finely sliced
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil

Directions

  1. Heat oil in skillet and add pork, salt and spices. Cook on high heat and add onions, garlic, peas, carrot, and broccoli. Add rice and additional oil if need be.  Allow rice to crisp up nicely. Add the eggs and scramble on high heat. Finish by adding scallion, oyster sauce, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Garnish with extra hot sauce if desired.
