Piri piri shrimp burger

Ingredients

BURGER

  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 3 tablespoons of Sensations by Compliments Piri Piri Marinade
  • 1 1/2 pounds peeled shrimp
  • 2 small shallots, chopped
  • 1/2 red pepper, chopped
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 lime squeezed
  • 1/2 cup finely sliced parsley leaves
  • 1/4 cup finely sliced cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil

AVOCADO AIOLI

  • 1 avocado
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons finely sliced cilantro
  • Salt and pepper

Directions

  1. Add the 2 tbsp piri piri ,and 1/2 of the garlic, shallots, pepper, and shrimp to a food processor and pulse four to five times scraping down the sides of the bowl as you go. Add the other half of the shrimp shallots, bell pepper, as well as all the parsley and cilantro, and pulse again to combine the mix but not too fine and pasty.
  2. Shape mixture into four patties. Chill for 30 minutes.
  3. Brush patties with canola oil and place them on preheated grill on medium heat.
  4. Cook until they release easily from the grill with a spatula, about four to five minutes. Flip and brush with one tablespoon piri piri sauce and cook another four to five minutes on the other side.
  5. Toast some buns and garnish with avocado mayo lettuce and tomato.
