Peanut punch

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (125 milliliters) unsalted (or lightly salted) peanuts
  • 1 cup (250 milliliters) water
  • 1/2 ripe plantain, diced
  • 1/2 cup (125 milliliters) quick oats
  • 1 cup (250 milliliters) beer
  • 2 teaspoons (10 milliliters) pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (250 milliliters) condensed milk
  • 2 teaspoons (10 milliliters) grated nutmeg, divided
  • Ice cubes
  • Exotic flower or sorrel (wild hibiscus) as garnish

Directions

  1. Add the peanuts and water to a blender and blend for approximately one to two minutes.
  2. Add all other ingredients and blend well. Serve over ice cubes, garnish with remaining nutmeg, push a straw through the hibiscus and serve.
