Mulled white wine

  • 1 750 mL bottle of dry white wine
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar
  • 4 cloves
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 2 inches of ginger, sliced into rounds
  • Zest of one orange
  • Zest of one grapefruit


  1. Add all ingredients to a pot and warm until steam can be seen on the surface ensuring not to bring to a boil (this will cook off the alcohol). Once hot, turn off heat immediately and cover pot. Allow mixture to steep for 25 minutes for all the flavours to develop.
  2. Gently reheat just before serving. Serve in glasses.
