Kale caesar salad

Add a healthy side to pizza night with this kale caesar salad! Quick and easy, this recipe is a delicious addition to any meal. 


Total Time


For the salad:

  • 2 bunches kale, stems removed, chopped into pieces
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) salt
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) grated parmesan, for topping

For the caesar dressing:

  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) Worcestershire sauce
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) pepper


  1. Add kale pieces to a bowl with olive oil and salt. Massage the kale for one to two minutes, rubbing the pieces between your fingers to soften.
  2. To make the Caesar dressing, add mayonnaise, olive oil, garlic, Dijon, Worcestershire sauce, lime juice, salt, and pepper to a food processor. Puree until smooth.
  3. Pour dressing over kale. Toss to cover. Top with grated parmesan.
