Pre-heat the bbq by turning one side on medium-high and line a small baking sheet with foil.
Combine the brown sugar and all the dry spices to create a rub for the chicken. Rub the spice mix all over the chicken, covering it completely.
Pour out (or drink!) about a 1/4 cup of the beer. Place the chicken’s open end onto the can of beer. Place the chicken onto the lined baking sheet and into the bbq on the side that is not turned on.
Make the glaze by simply mixing the honey, dijon, soy sauce and hot sauce.
Once the chicken has been roasting for 20 minutes, brush glaze all over. Close the lid, and repeat this two to three times, every ten minutes or so. The chicken will be fully cooked in about 45-60 minutes, or when an instant thermometer reads 180°F when inserted into the thigh.
