Fraises melba

  • 455 grams strawberries (Hulled and quartered)
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • Sugar (or less/more to taste)
  • Vanilla ice cream
  • Sweetened whipped cream


  1. Combine strawberries, lemon juice, and sugar in a bowl. Mix to combine, and allow to sit for a minimum of five to ten minutes. The strawberries will release their juices and form a syrup with the lemon and sugar. 
  2. Layer strawberries, ice cream, and whipped cream in a glass. Garnish with remaining syrup and cut strawberries.
