Custom coleslaw

Not-so-creamy coleslaw dressing:

  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons mustard or Dijon mustard
  • 1–2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1/2 clove garlic, puréed
  • 1/4 teaspoon celery seeds or dill seeds, or a handful of chopped celery tops/leaves
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped chives or green onions (optional)
  • 1–2 tablespoon chopped fresh soft herbs (optional)

Custom coleslaw:

  • 8 cups shredded vegetables and/or their stems


Not-so-creamy coleslaw dressing:

1. In a small bowl, whisk all of the dressing ingredients. Taste and adjust seasoning. 

Custom coleslaw:

  1. In a large bowl, add the shredded produce and other ingredients like duck, cucumber, onions, mint, and nuts.
  2. Pour the dressing over top and toss well.
  3. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
