Classic shaken margarita

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup ice (175 milliliters)
  • 1 ounces lime juice (25 milliliters)
  • 1 ounces good quality tequila (25 milliliters)
  • ½ ounces triple sec liqueur (15 milliliters)
  • Lime slices
  • Salt for rim of glass

Directions

  1. Prepare a rock glass by running a lime wedge along the edge and turning it upside down onto a shallow plate with kosher or sea salt to get salted rim.
  2. In a cocktail shaker combine, ice, lime juice, tequila and triple sec.  Shake for about 30 seconds . Strain the margarita into prepared glass and garnish with a lime slice.
  3. Serve immediately
