Classic buttermilk pancakes

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1-2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 3/4 cups buttermilk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons oil (I use sunflower or safflower)

Directions

  1. Mix dry ingredients together.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together wet ingredients and add to dry ingredients. 
  3. Don't over mix. The batter should be a bit lumpy.
