1/4 cup of avocado oil (or oil of choice), have more handy
1 teaspoon of soy sauce
4 slices of white or whole wheat bread, toasted
In a pot or pan, add oil, and turn the heat to medium-high. Add the onions all at once. Cook for two minutes and lower the heat to medium and stir the onions occasionally. Cook for 45 minutes or until the onions are soft and flexible when handling them. Add soy sauce and stir.
Toast the bread and cut into quarters. Spread a thin layer of the onions on each piece of bread and plate.
