Canadian sour

  • 6 tablespoons bourbon
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Ice, for shaking and serving
  • 2 small sprigs rosemary
  • Cherries, for garnish
  • Lemon peel, for garnish


  1. Half-fill a cocktail shaker with ice and pour over the bourbon, maple syrup, and lemon juice.  Shake well and pour over ice.
  2. For a garnish, use a lighter or torch to ignite the rosemary just so that it gets a little smoky. Pop that into each glass and add in a cherry and a strip of lemon peel.
