Breakfast sausage burgers

Ingredients

Breakfast sausage mix:

  • 2.3 kilograms ground pork
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons Chinese 5 spice (Five Spice Powder is a blend of cinnamon, cloves, fennel, star anise, and Szechwan peppercorns. Some recipes also contain ginger, nutmeg, and licorice)
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 bunch savory, chopped

Burger toppings:

  • Toasted bun
  • Mayonnaise
  • Avocado
  • Fried egg
  • Sliced tomato
  • Cheddar cheese

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients together.
  2. Make a little patty, and adjust seasoning if needed.
