Blondies are like the relative of brownies but use white chocolate instead of cocoa as the main flavouring agent. Chef Lynn Crawford shares her recipes to make ahead and enjoy later.

Total Time

  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
  2. In another large bowl, whisk together brown and granulated sugars, vanilla, and eggs until smooth, then add butter and whisk to combine.
  3. Stir in reserved flour mixture until just combined, and then fold in white chocolate chips.
  4. Spread batter into a grease and floured 9-x13-inch baking dish, set in preheat 350°F, and bake until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, about 20 minutes.
  5. Let blondies cool completely before cutting into squares.
