"Raw-tella" hot chocolate

This hot chocolate, made from coconut and hazelnut butter, is the healthiest way to combat the cold this winter.



  • 2 cups unsweetened coconut beverage
  • 1 tablespoon coconut butter
  • 2 tablespoons hazelnut butter
  • 1/4 cup raw cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup raw honey
  • 1 tablespoon organic vanilla extract
  • Pinch pink rock salt or gray sea salt
  • 1/8 ground ginger

Optional superfood booster:

  • 2 tablespoons lucuma powder or tiger nut powder


  1. Place coconut beverage in a medium pot and heat until hot but not boiling.
  2. Add remaining ingredients to a blender, finishing with hot coconut beverage, and blend until well combined. If not using the sweet superfoods listed, be sure to add the extra honey, or taste and adjust sweetness to personal preference.
